Meet our Registered Veterinary Technicians
Katie Letson, Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)
Katie's interest in veterinary medicine began at a young age. She grew up on a farm in the Battle Ground area where she cared for horses, beef cattle, dogs, chickens, and pheasant. Katie joined Horizon Veterinary Service in 2001 while still in high school. She started as a kennel assistant and gradually progressed until she became a Registered Veterinary Technician in 2009. Katie enjoys traveling, outdoor activities, and spending time with her friends and family. She is married to Jessie and has two young sons (her pride & joy) Zen and Leland ). The Letson's are expecting their third child in May 2016.
Shanna Rayburn, BS, RVT, KPA-CTP
Shanna graduated from Purdue University in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Veterinary Technology, Animal Trainer Course through the Karen Pryor Academy. Her love for animals has been life long. Shanna has two pets, a cat "Tiger" and her canine side-kick "Cinder". When not involved with her animal work she likes crafting, reading and spending time with her family.
Hayley Blignaut, Registration Veterinary Technician (RVT)
Hayley grew up around Lafayette, Indiana (Go Boilers!) Graduated from the Veterinary Technician Institute at International Business College Fort Wayne, Indiana. Her love of animals drew her to volunteer many hours and work at the on-site kennel as kennel leader. Work brought Hayley back to the Lafayette area. Although a primary large dog lover, she currently has adopted a geriatric 12 lb. terrier, "Tootsie" ! Full of vim and vigor. Hayley when not at HVS enjoys running, painting and spending time with her friends and family. She has worked for Horizon Veterinary Service since January 2015 and says it's been a true blessing to be here.

Hospital and Kennel Assistants
Betty has been with Horizon Veterinary Service since 1999. Betty assists in all areas of the hospital including cleaning, maintenance, landscaping, caring for boarders and patients. She grew up on a farm in Warren County, and loves to work with all creatures great and small. Betty has two married children and nine grandchildren and a rambunctious boxer "Abby".
